“It’s Our Turn,” Waller’s annual celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Nashville’s Doubletree Hotel. An audience of approximately 300 attendees, comprised of Waller attorneys, paralegals and staff members as well as civic, community and business leaders from throughout Middle Tennessee, were captivated by a panel discussion featuring Diane Nash, Ernest Rip Patton, Jr. and the Rev. James Lawson, Jr. – Freedom Riders and participants in the Nashville sit-ins of the 1960s who reflected on the civil rights movement and Dr. King. The panel discussion was moderated by famed journalist John Seigenthaler, Sr.
