George Bishop has been representing healthcare and other clients in a variety of matters for almost forty years. In the course of his career at Waller, he has extensive experience in:

George has served as lead counsel on approximately two hundred transactions involving a wide range of investor-owned and nonprofit healthcare providers. His transactional practice is national in scope. George has also traveled abroad on several healthcare trade missions, and advised the United Kingdom's Department of Health regarding possible revisions to the National Health Service.
George is a former Chairman of Waller and has also served as the head of both its corporate and healthcare practice groups.
George was involved in founding the Health Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association of which he served as the initial Chair. He was also the initial Chair of the Health Law Committee of the Nashville Bar Association.
Honored by Best Lawyers and Chambers USA, George was also named one of the "101 Best Lawyers in Tennessee" by Business Tennessee. The Nashville Business Journal recognized his experience in its "Best of the Bar" and "Healthcare 100" listings, as well as by selecting him to be one of the first attorneys to be named a “Health Care Hero”.
