To enable clients to access and monitor the status of pending trademark applications and registrations via the Internet, Waller Lansden has launched ÆTracker, a trademark tracking extranet. ÆTracker draws data directly from the Waller Lansden trademark maintenance database in "real time" and at no additional charge to our trademark clients. Accessed through Waller Lansden's homepage, ÆTracker provides an easily accessible, comprehensive and accurate snapshot of the status of individual trademarks, including foreign trademarks, owned by the client. An ÆTracker tab located on the firm's homepage leads to a login page for ÆTracker. After logging in to ÆTracker, a client will see an overview of their trademark portfolio that may be sorted by country, trademark, status, application number and registration number. By clicking on the "Details" hyperlink for any mark, more detailed information is provided regarding that particular mark, including a "real time" status report for that mark. ÆTracker was developed in response to the substantial growth in our trademark practice and the increasing complexity of the trademark portfolios the firm manages on behalf of our clients. With a growing number of clients requiring global brand protection strategies and the registration of worldwide trademarks, ÆTracker enables clients to monitor the status of their U.S. and international trademark portfolios at any time and from any computer with internet access. If you have any questions regarding the information in this bulletin, the ÆTracker program, or our trademark and global brand protection practice, please contact Bob Felber at (615) 850-8741, Mark Plotkin at (615) 850-8567, or any other member of Waller Lansden's Intellectual Property Practice.
