Robert R. Campbell, Jr. is a partner at Waller Lansden and co-manages the firm’s Real Estate practice. His practice focuses primarily on real estate development and financing as well as corporate and commercial transactions involving banks and financial institutions. Mr. Campbell has been recognized for his experience in real estate and banking law in leading publications such as The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward White, Inc.), America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (Chambers & Partners) and the Nashville Business Journal’s annual “Best of the Bar.” In 2011, Mr. Campbell was recognized as Nashville’s "Real Estate Lawyer of the Year" by The Best Lawyers in America.
Mr. Campbell's experience in real estate and banking law covers a broad range of transactions. He had primary responsibility for all secured real estate transactions and credit facilities exceeding $1 billion for a publicly traded operator of privatized governmental facilities. Mr. Campbell coordinated the real estate and related incentive package for the North American headquarters relocation of one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers. Representing a regional investment fund, Mr. Campbell coordinated more than $400 million in investments in multi-family properties throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He provides counsel to a real estate investment partnership on the acquisition, development and leasing of commercial office building projects exceeding $150 million. He has coordinated the development and financing of more than $200 million in high rise condominium projects as well as the development and leasing of several hundred million dollars of lifestyle, shopping center and other retail projects. Mr. Campbell has extensive experience in public/private development projects including tax increment financing (TIF) and other government incentives and works with state and local governments to implement creative financing structures of housing, hospitality, commercial and infrastructure projects around the region.
