Erica Garrison is an associate at Waller Lansden, and her practice focuses on regulatory law. Ms. Garrison advises and represents businesses in their interaction with state and local government agencies on matters involving regulatory compliance. Focusing primarily on state and municipal regulatory issues, Ms. Garrison’s extensive experience includes competitive bidding and purchasing analysis, legislative drafting, education regulatory matters and other complex issues.
Ms. Garrison has extensive experience in land use and zoning matters throughout the state of Tennessee, primarily with respect to retail and commercial development projects. Additionally, she assists companies that are relocating or expanding operations in Tennessee, and she has worked on numerous tax increment financing (TIF) and payment in lieu of tax (PILOT) incentive projects for both municipalities and clients involved in manufacturing and other industry segments.
Prior to joining Waller Lansden, Ms. Garrison was an associate attorney with the Metropolitan Department of Law in Nashville, Tenn. where she provided counsel to the Historic Zoning Commission, the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools and the Division of Public Property Administration on a wide range of legal issues. She also drafted legislation for The Metropolitan Council, the legislative body of Nashville and Davidson County.
