Brandon Schirg is a partner at Waller Lansden and practices exclusively in the firm’s Healthcare Regulatory Group. Mr. Schirg advises many of the nation’s leading healthcare providers on regulatory and operational issues involving hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, hospices, cancer centers, and independent diagnostic testing facilities.
In transactional matters, Mr. Schirg has extensive experience structuring acquisitions, syndications, contracts, and other financial arrangements to comply with federal and state anti-kickback laws and self-referral statutes. His experience as regulatory counsel also includes HIPAA and patient privacy regulations, licensure and certification issues. Mr. Schirg conducts regulatory internal investigations and compliance reviews on behalf of healthcare clients. Additionally, he provides counsel on Medicare enrollment and reimbursement issues, and he has successfully represented providers in reimbursement audits.
Mr. Schirg speaks frequently on fraud and abuse issues and other healthcare regulatory topics at professional conferences and industry seminars.
