Christen Bartelt is an attorney with Waller Lansden and practices in the areas of securities law, private equity and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate governance. Ms. Bartelt has conducted acquisitions for public companies and provided counsel in the sale of private company assets. She also has provided securities and corporate governance advice for public and private companies, and represented venture capital, private equity funds and start-up companies in debt and equity financings. Additionally, Ms. Bartelt provides fund formation advice and acts as investment counsel for institutional investors.
Before joining Waller Lansden, Ms. Bartelt served as CEO and acting in-house counsel for Cerulean Properties, LLC which developed resort and residential real estate properties in New Zealand. Ms. Bartelt’s legal experience also includes practicing as a sole practitioner and as an associate with law firms in California and Maryland.
