Michael Harmon is an attorney in Waller Lansden’s Trial and Appellate Litigation practice. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis in the financial services and healthcare industries. Mr. Harmon regularly represents financial institutions in suits involving derivatives, including multiple recent cases where borrowers challenged the enforceability of contracts involving derivatives. He also defends officers and directors against shareholder derivative lawsuits alleging claims of securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, waste of corporate assets and unjust enrichment, many of which stem from the recent changes in the financial markets.
Mr. Harmon regularly represents healthcare companies in a wide range of litigation including suits involving breach of contract, intentional interference of business relationship and defamation. His experience also includes trust and estate litigation.
