Chris Siderys is an associate in Waller Lansden’s Finance and Restructuring practice. His practice focuses on bankruptcy and corporate restructuring matters, commercial finance transactions. Additionally, Mr. Siderys provides guidance on bank regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Waller Lansden, Mr. Siderys served as a legal counsel with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Washington, DC. In this role, Mr. Siderys assisted in the closing of a $307 billion financial institution and handled credit derivative products held by the bank. He also supported the implementation of the FDIC’s capital purchase program under the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and earned an FDIC merit award for his analysis of mortgage reform legislation. In addition, Mr. Siderys was a member of the working group that developed the Recordkeeping Requirements for Qualified Financial Contracts; Proposed Rule and Notice and the Final Rule.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Siderys gained commercial finance experience at Bank One in Chicago where as a credit analyst, associate underwriter and underwriting officer he negotiated and structured credit facilities and managed credit exposure of more than $200 million.

Mr. Siderys is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Virginia.
