Tera Rica Murdock is an associate with Waller Lansden and practices in the area of trial and appellate litigation. She is a trial attorney, and in her legal practice she handles complex commercial and business litigation, and the representation of employers in labor and employment litigation and dispute resolution. Ms. Murdock has experience at both the state and federal level in successfully defending businesses and in prosecuting their interests to judgment. Ms. Murdock has assisted clients in the financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.
Ms. Murdock has extensive experience in securities fraud litigation, particularly in the representation of investors in oil and gas securities. She is currently involved in a number of high-profile matters representing individuals who invested in limited liability partnerships in the energy sector. Ms. Murdock has also defended financial institutions and their officers and directors against claims of securities fraud, many of which stem from the recent changes in the financial markets.
Ms. Murdock is also skilled in representing management in all aspects of labor and employment law, including claims made under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family Medical Leave Act.
