Vinh Duong leads the Immigration practice at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP. Mr. Duong has spent his entire legal career assisting businesses navigate the intricacies and nuances of U.S. immigration law and policy, and his practice focuses exclusively on immigration law and related issues.
Mr. Duong represents national and international companies before U.S. Consulates, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of Labor on immigration-related employment issues. Mr. Duong also counsels employers from a wide range of industries—including healthcare, manufacturing, technology, hospitality, entertainment, offshore energy and subsea construction, design/architecture and banking—on immigration strategy, I-9 and E-Verify compliance, worksite enforcement, H-1B/L-1 site visits, global migration and anti-discrimination rules to minimize liability and exposure to employment litigation.
Mr. Duong has extensive experience securing EB-1 extraordinary ability and EB-2 national interest waiver petitions (for researchers and physicians), H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals, O-1 visas for individuals with extraordinary ability, L-1 visas for intra-company transfers, E-2 visas for foreign investors and J-1 waivers for physicians subject to the foreign residence requirement. Mr. Duong also provides assistance with the labor certification process, adjustment of status applications, immigrant visa processing, naturalization and family-based immigration matters.
