Sandy Herron is a partner with Waller Lansden practicing in the area of healthcare regulatory law. Ms. Herron brings a unique perspective to her health law practice, having nearly two decades of management experience in the healthcare industry prior to beginning her legal career. The former CEO of a hospital system, she also served in senior management positions with long-term care, home health and assisted living providers.
 
As a member of Waller Lansden’s healthcare practice, Ms. Herron counsels hospitals and hospital systems, long-term care providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, retail pharmacies, physician practices and other healthcare organizations on a broad range of federal and state regulatory issues. This includes federal and state regulatory compliance matters, including HIPAA, the Stark law and the Anti-Kickback Statute as well as public and private payor reimbursement issues. Ms. Herron’s extensive experience also includes providing operational counsel on issues ranging from medical staff credentialing and risk management to physician-hospital relationships including recruitment and joint ventures. Additionally, Ms. Herron assists tax-exempt healthcare organizations with governance and day-to-day operational matters.
