FIRM OVERVIEW

Founded in 1905, Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP has offices in Nashville, Los Angeles and Birmingham. Waller Lansden's goal is to create and maintain the depth, resources and experience necessary to meet the diverse needs of our clients in today's evolving business and legal environment. We are available to meet those needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We understand that clients want more in their outside legal counsel than just attorneys who can solve legal problems – clients want a business partner.

Waller Lansden has been recognized in several independent, national studies conducted by The BTI Consulting Group, Inc., an independent research firm. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 the firm was highlighted as a law firm providing superior client service, a firm helping to shape the legal market, and a firm with an outstanding regional reputation and breadth of services. We believe that our clients deserve far more than just legal advice when they call upon us. They also deserve to be understood, to be respected, to be appreciated, and, most of all, to be glad at the end of the day that they chose Waller Lansden to assist with their legal needs.

Essential to the way we provide legal services is a work environment that facilitates a free and robust exchange of ideas. Our entire firm, from our leadership and across the board, respects and values the approach to issues that comes from people with diverse life experiences and backgrounds. It is our diversity and basic respect for these differences that makes the whole greater than the individual parts. For its commitment to workplace diversity, Waller Lansden was featured in the 2008 edition of the Vault/MCCA Guide to Law Firm Diversity Programs, published by Vault Career Library in cooperation with the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.

When we are asked for advice, we first ask our clients to identify their business goals. We don’t tell our clients what they can’t do; we offer strategic options on what can be done to accomplish the objective. We learn our clients’ business, even going to work with them to get to know their operations, their vocabulary and their people. We recognize that not all clients and matters call for the same approach, and we keep constant focus on business objectives.

Waller Lansden's clients include public and private corporations, government agencies and business enterprises both large and small throughout the United States. Recognized nationally for our healthcare experience, we also represent clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, retail, real estate development and many more.
