Since 2000, the Waller Lansden Immigration team has helped hundreds of physicians and non-physician healthcare workers obtain Conrad 30 waivers, H-1b visas and other necessary certifications to enter the country from abroad and practice medicine throughout the United States. Working with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Division of the Department of Homeland Security, the Commission of Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools and state agencies throughout the country, Waller Lansden has helped hospitals and medical practices meet community needs for healthcare professionals in both underserved rural regions as well as metropolitan areas with well-established medical communities. Locally, Waller Lansden helped to develop Tennessees Conrad State 20 program for J-1 physician waivers, and secured the first physician waiver in the state under the program.
