Waller Lansden's defining goal is that of every successful hospitality company: to deliver unparalleled client service. To achieve this goal, our hospitality industry team focuses the depth and breadth of its experience and energy on the unique needs of the hospitality industry. Our labor and employment attorneys are devoted to identifying and solving the problems that hospitality companies face, from addressing high turnover rates, to managing a multi-cultural workforce, to responding to specialized targeted union organizing efforts.
In addition to employment issue, we assist hospitality companies in a wide range of areas. Waller Lansden has extensive experience in franchising matters related to restaurants and hotels, including the preparation and review of Uniform Franchise Offering Circulars (UFOCs). We provide counsel on regulatory compliance, including state franchise laws, and we assist hospitality clients with intellectual property issues, including trademark registration, maintenance, protection and, when necessary, litigation. Waller Lansden also defends hospitality companies in general litigation matters and provides advice regarding risk management issues critical to the successful operation of restaurants and hotels.
Additionally, Waller Lansden currently serves as national real estate counsel for restaurant chain that has developed and opened more than 20 new locations throughout the country in the past year. We also have extensive experience assisting commercial real estate developers in large-scale mixed-use projects that include hotels and restaurants.
