Summary
The Financial Services Business Development Manager (“BDM”) will support in developing and implementing the Waller Financial Services Industry Team’s strategy and related tactics. This individual will interact heavily with the Financial Services Industry Team steering committee and chair and coordinate, manage and track execution of various initiatives. The BDM will work with the partners leading the industry team’s various initiatives, members of the Business Development Department and individual attorneys on targeted efforts.
Responsibilities
- Manage tracking for all Financial Services-related activities, including events, pitches and Financial Services industry experience
- Work with attorney leaders and BD team to implement plans, tactics and requests, including industry research and planning (events, publications or organizations to target), sponsorships and deliverables, networking meetings, industry experience write ups, creating customized materials and managing mailing lists
- Attend and participate in sector initiative meetings; capture and manage next steps
- Work with content team to guide and edit Financial Services-specific content and materials
- Prepare annual Chambers and other award and survey submissions related to Financial Services
- Assist the Financial Services team with the development and monitoring of the business development budgets for the Financial Services Industry Team
- Coordinate responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and pitches for new business
- Assist with client-related due diligence questionnaires
Qualifications
- Proactive problem-solver with demonstrated self-confidence and high-level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communications skills (writing samples will be requested).
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to work productively and collaboratively with multiple contacts at multiple levels, rather than relying upon a single champion.

- Willingness to work additional hours, as needed.
