Recording studio owner sued to stop construction and obtain damages

The owner of a recording studio sued four parties seeking to halt the construction of a mixed-use development on Demonbreun Street in Nashville and to require the developer to tear down a portion of the construction and restart with part of the project. The recording studio owner claimed that an earlier contract between Waller's client and the owner established certain setback requirements that were not met during construction. The recording studio owner also sought significant damages from a number of parties.

Waller represented a subsidiary of a Texas-based real estate company that put together property for development on Demonbreun and then sold the property to a Charlotte-based developer. After 18 months of litigation, the parties reached a resolution that allowed the project to continue to completion.
