Ohio-based PSC Metals sued the landowners of a Nashville property from whom the metal recycling company leased a 19.5-acre parcel due to lack of agreement on an appraisal on which to base the lease rate. PSC Metals argued the appraisal should only consider the current industrial zoning when determining its value. The landowners argued it should be appraised at its "highest and best use," or as a mixed-use property. The parties ultimately reached a settlement where PSC Metals acquired the property and secured full control of the 50 plus acre scrapyard.
Waller represented PSC Metals in the dispute.
