Sports construction company pursues breach of contract litigation against former employee

A sports construction company, specializing in the construction of sports complexes, fields, and stadiums, filed a complaint against a former employee for a breach of his employment agreement and other issues.

Waller filed the complaint on behalf of the company and sought a temporary restraining order (TRO) in the Texas District Court for Travis County, against the former employee for, among other things, a breach of his employment agreement and the intentional interference with business relationships. The District Court granted the TRO. Prior to the preliminary injunction hearing, the parties entered into a settlement agreement whereby the former employee agreed to pay the company's attorneys' fees and abide by the restrictive covenants for several additional months.
