Commercial real estate firm faces environmental issues in redevelopment of urban site

A leading commercial real estate investment and development firm, focused on high quality office and multi-family assets, faced environmental issues related to the redevelopment of 141 1st Avenue South site in Nashville, Tennessee, which will be the second tallest tower in the city and home to luxury hotel Four Seasons and condominiums.

Waller assisted the commercial real estate firm with the redevelopment and has advised the company on post-closing issues related to the implementation of the soil management plan that governs environmental contamination issues at the site. Developers were able to invest in the Nashville skyline without environmental liability.
