Kinder Morgan, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, and Tennessee Gas Pipeline, a set of natural gas pipelines that run from the Texas and Louisiana coast to the Northeastern U.S., sought assistance with multiple aspects of siting, constructing, and operating for a new controversial compressor station near Nashville as part of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company’s Broad Run Expansion Project, which involves the construction and renovation of numerous compressor stations along a multi-state natural gas pipeline.
Waller is providing support in the siting, land acquisition, zoning, government relations, public relations, and environmental and other federal, state and local approvals. Waller also filed and successfully settled a federal lawsuit against Metro Nashville asserting that certain Metro ordinances are pre-empted under the Federal Natural Gas Act. The anticipated capital cost of the Broad Run project totals $782 million.
