Witnesses deposed in response to CID relating to False Claims Act investigation

Witnesses were deposed in response to a civil investigative demand (CID) relating to a False Claims Act investigation for medical practice in South Alabama.

Waller represented the witnesses and produced documents in connection to the deposition. We also defended the client in the subsequent False Claims Act lawsuit alleging submission of fraudulent claims. The investigation was conducted by U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama. The case ultimately settled for an amount below anticipated defense costs.
