HBCU fights death penalty sanction against its college of pharmacy

An HBCU (Historically Black College and University), had the accreditation for its school of pharmacy withdrawn by a national accreditation agency. Their college of pharmacy is one of only a handful in the United States focused on producing pharmacists of color who overwhelmingly work in medically underserved communities.

Waller assisted the client by handling the administrative appeal of the decision and, when the agency persisted in its course, filed a federal lawsuit. We continue to represent our client, including aggressively pursuing injunctive relief and expedited discovery, in context of its due process, constitutional, and other claims. Additionally, we successfully uncovered multiple violations by the accreditation agency.
