Proposed Changes to Stark, Anti-Kickback Regulations
CMS recently released proposed changes to the Stark Law and Federal Anti-Kickback Statute. Goals of these changes include supporting value-based and coordinated care initiatives and modernizing the law and statute in the process. However, it remains to be seen if the benefits of the proposed rules, with new definitions and complicated exceptions, among other things, will be worth the added complexity.
