Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis has announced that the firm is participating in the Mansfield Rule 5.0 Certification process launching July 15, 2021. The goal of the Mansfield Rule is to boost the representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in law firm leadership.

Now entering its fifth year, the Mansfield Rule has become the standard by which law firms track and measure that they have affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, lawyers from underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, lawyers with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ lawyers for top leadership roles, senior-level lateral hiring, promotions into the equity partnership, and participation in client pitch meetings, according to Diversity Lab, which coordinates the Mansfield program.

“We strive to be a firm that is reflective of our community and fully represents the needs and desires of our clients. Increasingly, diversity and inclusion are becoming vital considerations for companies looking to hire legal representation. Our participation in  Mansfield demonstrates Waller’s commitment to meeting and exceeding client expectations in this regard,” said Matt Burnstein, chairman of the firm.
