The Provider Relief Fund Reporting Portal is now open

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act (PPPCHE) appropriated $178 billion to reimburse eligible healthcare providers for healthcare related expenses or lost revenues attributable to COVID-19.

These funds were distributed by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) through the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) program, and recipients of these funds agreed to terms and conditions, which dictate compliance with reporting requirements. Assuming recipients comply with the terms and conditions, these funds do not need to be repaid to the U.S. government.

On June 30, 2021, HRSA released user guides on how recipients are to report the use of their funds. HRSA developed the PRF Reporting Portal for use by recipients in reporting.

The reporting process via the portal incudes two steps: reporting entities must 1) register as users and 2) must complete reporting on the use of the funds they received. A spreadsheet was designed to help recipients prepare for reporting and can be accessed and downloaded here. It is best to prepare ahead of time, as work cannot be saved in the portal.
