Though the outlook for small, regional healthcare operations has been bleak for years, Tonya Scharf discusses on the Bridge the Gap podcast, a podcast focused on senior care, how those smaller facilities are uniquely dynamic and positioned to adapt to the needs of their given markets.

Tonya told listeners, "I think one of the biggest stumbling blocks that I’ve seen for smaller owner operators is failing to continually invest in the facility." Though investment in repairs and improvements may seem daunting, it's far better to stay ahead of those matters than let things get worse, costing more in the long run.
