Law firms have recently started utilizing artificial intelligence to help sort through collections of data and documents used in large business transactions. Waller’s Clear Diligence team uses artificial intelligence to analyze, identify, and compare vital information in legal documents.
While artificial intelligence is a great tool for attorneys, we are far from outsourcing legal work to technology. When Waller partner Colin Luke was asked about this in a recent interview, he told the Birmingham Business Journal that with human review, “You're going to get lawyers honing in on the real issues in a deal, and you're going to get a more organized output that is going to be more useful to the client over the long term. And you’re going to be more confident you're not missing anything.”
