Worker shortage driving nursing homes to brink of collapse

Nursing homes, an already struggling sector of the healthcare industry prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, is now on the brink of collapse, according to this article from the Orange County Register. 

In the article, Waller's John Tishler describes the situation. With occupancy rates down to around 77% for the year, i.e., down 13%, "That’s a huge difference from the strongest financially performing nursing homes that saw up to 10% returns before the pandemic."
