Overview

Blake Roth is a bankruptcy attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office. Mr. Roth counsels clients in all areas of commercial reorganization and distressed commercial disputes, representing Chapter 11 debtors in possession (DIP), Chapter 11 trustees, court-appointed receivers, assignees for the benefit of creditors, secured creditors and other parties in interest in all aspects of bankruptcy and commercial reorganization.

Mr. Roth also practices in the area of commercial litigation, representing automobile manufacturers, equipment lessors, lenders and other parties in distressed commercial disputes.

  • Served as lead restructuring counsel to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg in its Chapter 11 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, successfully confirming a joint chapter plan
  • Served as lead restructuring counsel to Walker County Hospital Corp. in its Chapter 11 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, obtaining the successful sale of the hospital to a new operator
  • Served as lead restructuring counsel to Pinecrest Pigeon Forge HOA Inc. in its Chapter 11 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, obtaining the successful sale of a timeshare property and confirmation of an associated plan of liquidation
  • Serves as counsel to international automotive manufacturer in connection with distressed suppliers, in and out of court and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Serves as counsel to an international automotive parts supplier in connection with distressed customers and distributors, in and out of court and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Served as counsel to Promise Healthcare Group LLC in its Chapter 11 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, obtaining the sale of numerous hospitals and confirmation of a plan of liquidation
  • Served as counsel to a local Boy Scout Council in the Boy Scouts of America Chapter 11 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware
  • Served as counsel to the receiver appointed over nine senior care facilities in Securities and Exchange Commission v. Edwards, obtaining the sale of all nine facilities
  • Served as counsel to an indenture trustee, obtaining the appointment of a receiver over a skilled nursing facility in Reform, Alabama, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama
  • Served as counsel to an indenture trustee, obtaining the appointment of a receiver over a skilled nursing facility in Tuskegee, Alabama, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama
  • Served as counsel to an indenture trustee, obtaining the appointment of a Chapter 11 trustee over a skilled nursing facility in Salem, Georgia, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia
  • Served as counsel to the receiver appointed over skilled nursing facilities across numerous cases in state and federal courts in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas and Virginia
  • Served as lead counsel to a Tennessee assignee for the benefit of creditors, obtaining the successful sale of all assets and distribution of proceeds to creditors
  • Assisted a nonprofit hospital in winding down its operations and liquidating assets in its Chapter 7 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas
  • Represented individuals in a "business divorce" involving a healthcare technology and data company, resulting in the successful sale of the business
