Paul Kang

Experienced immigration paralegal

Paul Kang is a veteran paralegal who has focused on immigration matters since 2003. Joining Waller from the world-renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where he served on the in-house immigration team, Paul has extensive experience handling filings on behalf of international physicians and nurses, biomedical researchers and information technology workers.

He has a wide range of experience, including:

• Managing a J-1 exchange visitor program for foreign research interns
• H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals
• L-1A/L-1B visas for international transferees
• EB-1A, EB-1B and National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions for accomplished researchers and physicians
• Schedule A petitions for foreign nurses
• Reviewing I-9 documents for identity verification and employment authorization
• PERM labor certification applications

Earlier in his career as a paralegal with a California-based boutique business immigration law firm, Paul was responsible for managing a high volume of immigration filings on behalf of mid- and large-scale companies.
