David Garcia credits the decade he spent before law school managing supply chain logistics for a high-tech manufacturer for the perspective he brings to transactional matters. David approaches mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions from the perspective of a businessperson, and he takes the time to know and understand the clients he represents in order to help them achieve their business and legal objectives efficiently.

A significant focus of David’s practice is in the veterinary industry, assisting clients in a variety of transactional matters including veterinary practice sale transactions, corporate restructuring, negotiation of employment agreements, leasing and other legal issues related to vet practice management. His recent experience includes representing a growing private-equity backed veterinary services organization through a series of practice acquisitions.

In the healthcare industry, David works alongside clients throughout the U.S. to navigate the often complicated structure of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. He has substantial experience representing both buyers and sellers in M&A transactions involving physician-owned practices and clinical research trial companies.

David joined Waller in 2014 after gaining experience as an associate in the Austin office of Jackson Walker, LLP.
