Caraline Rickard defends employers in labor and employment matters with a unique combination of experience that includes plaintiff-side litigation and government enforcement actions. Caraline represents clients in a wide range of industries including healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and others. Her experience includes the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), the Equal Pay Act (EPA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and other federal and state statutes and regulations.
Before joining Waller, Caraline gained valuable experience as an associate with Gilbert McWherter Scott Bobbitt, PLC where she focused on the representation of employees in discrimination matters. She also served as assistant general counsel in the Tennessee Department of Children's Services and as a staff attorney in the General Sessions Division of the Nashville Office of the District Attorney.
Successfully defended the U.S. segment of a large automotive manufacturer in a unique ADA discrimination lawsuit both at the trial court and before the U.S. Court of Appeals.
