Guides employers through immigration matters

Elvira Rodriguez focuses her practice on employment-related immigration law. Elvira assists employers in the healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, and other industries with a wide range of immigration matters required to build and manage competitive workforces. She helps clients with applications and required filings, including J-1 waivers for physicians subject to the foreign residence requirement, H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals, and L-1 visas for intra-company transfers.

Prior to joining Waller, Elvira gained valuable experience as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney General in Nashville.

Before attending law school, Elvira acquired over eight years of experience as an immigration paralegal. Her experience includes employment-based, family-based, and humanitarian-based immigration. As a paralegal, she focused on filing L-1 visas for intra-company transfers, EB-1 extraordinary ability petitions, H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals, O-1 visas for foreign nationals of extraordinary ability, and PERM labor certification applications.  She also focused on applications for residency, tourist/work visas, U-visas, and family-based residency petitions.
