IP attorney with an emphasis on trademarks, data privacy, and technology transactions

An associate in Waller’s Intellectual Property practice, John Nix helps clients with trademarks, data privacy and information security compliance, and other software and technology related transactions. John’s experience includes the selection, clearance, registration, and enforcement of trademarks for a large investor-owned health system, as well as assisting an administrative services provider with IP and data privacy compliance, audits, and due diligence.

Prior to attending law school, John worked in various capacities at several technology companies, including as a Computer Systems Analyst for Parallon Technology Solutions, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare. In these roles, John gained hands-on experience with technology and information security, working closely with a wide range of industry-leading healthcare applications and software. Today, John leverages those experiences to assist clients in a variety of complex intellectual property and technology issues.
